Death of a friend

a raging inferno from summer to summer it comes around another fire another catastophic killer burning down piece by piece a city, a lifestyle, a friend.
the trees around go up in flames the roof around you collapsed as you ran out the door covered in a wet towel. You ran for your life and the flames claimed your land not even the firefighters could save you as they fled the amazingly destructive inferno.
But all they found was the phone you had tried to call your mum off, the pocket watch you treasured so dearly, and how i miss you so much. i wish u would speak to me but then i realize your gone.. and that i cannot fight the tears, that i cannot save your life. that i let you burn to death on the road home

This is how i feel about the passing of one of my dear friends, a bushfire claimed there life
