Demitri slammed against the Gate to the pond. "Argh!" He said as he hit the ground. This demon was mad now. "Curse you demon hunter!" It screamed, as it charged him. Suddenly Demitri could see horns. Horrible sharp horns, and right now Demitri didnt like the way they were pointed. Directly at him. Demitri's eyes became huge and he rolled out of the way just barley getting scarped on the cheek. He began to bleed. The blood ran down his cheek and dropped to the ground. Demitri lifted two fingers to his cheek and gingerly touched it smearing blood on his fingers. His eyes were still huge as he took in a deep breath watching the demon turn around to face him. This demon was dangerous, he thought. All the more reason to take him down quickly. He jumped to his feet, never the one to play around with the demons he was slaying, and pulled out his Broken Butterfly aiming it perfctly at the spot between the demons eyes. He pulled the trigger missing by a long shot. He hadnt accounted for the demons hight so thats one lost bullet. "Damn!" He mutterd under his breath. He decided he would have to bring the demon down more to his size. The demons eyes glowed red as it roared in anger. Demitri looked down and saw that his bullet acctualy had hit the demon, just not exactly were he intended it to, and then it hit him. If he wanted to bring the demon down to his size he would need to hit him in a week point so that he would fall to his knees and Demitri would be able to hit the demon between the eyes at it's weekest point and kill it. Demitri didnt waste time smiling, he simply took aim and shot the demon in the knee cap while it was charging him again. The demon grunted as it was hit but it was so enraged that it seemed not to even feel it at all. It chareged straight ahead. Straight at Demitri. Demitri took aim at its other knee cap and shot once more. The demon's grunt got louder, more pained, but still it charged. Demitri took aim twice more shooting the demon in both feet, and finaly the demon fell, stopping inches away from Demitri. It dropped to its knees as its eyes lost all anger. "You.....mere human boy....." It said as it moaned in pain from all of its wounds. "You...out of all others......managed to defeat me...." The demon wheezed. "At least.....I can say....I was slain by one more powerful than I could ever hope to be." The demon said as it drew in its last breath. Demitri walked away as the body turned to ash and blew away in the warm summer night air. Demitri still had two more demons and an excorsist to take care of, but he decided to take a small break and take care of his cheek before moving on to his other jobs. Some demons grew stronger with the scent of blood. He fished around in his pocket until he found his small book of demons. He flipped through the pages to see all the diferent types of demons and see if there were any that matched the demon he had just eliminated. He found it. He read it carefuly to see exactly what he had just been up against. It read:
Triane (Tri-an-e): A trickster of sorts, but much more powerful. Cannot be taken down easily. Likes big bodies of water perferably with alot of fish. Hates people weeker than it and generaly everything else. Once defeated it will say somthing nice about the person who defeated it only because they respect the person who did it. Usualy a very tall demon with horns atop its head. Not much else is known about this demon yet.
"Hmmm. So that demon was a Triane. That would explain its reason for being here." Demitri thought aloud. He decided to forget about his cheek for the time being seeing as the bloood was already dry, and he started to walk to his next destination. The excorsist. He sigh. When would this night end? He wonderd.
